What is the top online college to get a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting?

I have my Associates in Elementary Education from UOP and want to change my major to business. I have been researching online school and have found many options. Has anyone had any success with an Business degree from a online college? My options include, Ashford, DeVry, Baker College, and UOP. I am really wanting the one that will accept mostly all of my previous credits and the one that I can finish the fastest!
They do not laugh at Degrees from an Accredited school. I have already contacted employers of this field and they said that online school is getting more popular and more students are doing it. They said that as long as you have the education you need and have some experiance in the field of work then you are good to go. They look at students that hold a full time job and that can do school online also; as a hard worker. You show them that you can work hard and that is what employers want. Hard worker and be a multitask person that will benefit their company!

Employers will laugh at an Accounting degree from these for-profit online schools.

Make sure the school is AASCB-accredited. Most online schools are not.

If you insist on an totally online school, consider Athabasca University.

Depends on the school. You will find out that many employers routinely toss all job applications listing U of Phoenix degrees directly into the trash…

You’re completely right about the changing shift in acceptance of online degrees in the workplace. More and more students are obtaining these degrees and it does showcase a different skill set to the employer.

What I would recommend in this scenario is ensuring you have all the data possible. Here’s a listing of online bachelors in business degrees, with the search done through eLearners.com

Browse through and you can see even more colleges that offer online business degrees. I’ve heard good things about Capella University, as well as some brick-and-mortar online programs, like Drexel’s business program. When looking at the programs, check to see when you can sign up and the rate of completion. Various things like that. You’re experienced with online schools, so you know what to look for.

As far as credit transfer goes, I would recommend directly contacting academic advisers at the top 5 programs that interest you the most. They’ll be able to tell you the requirements for the business degree, as well as possibly look at your transcript and tell you what will and will not transfer, and possibly give you a timeline of when you can expect to have your degree completed. E-mail or set up an appointment and they’ll be able to answer those questions.

Hope that helps.
Good luck!
